Coming from the Cork or Limerick direction on the N7, pass by turns for Rathcoole and Saggart, then approximately 5km. further on you go under the Citywest Bridge.The campsite is 2km. past that, just off the N7, clearly sign-posted on the left.
Directions to Camac Valley from Dublin Port:
1. When leaving the port area follow the signs for the City Centre. 2. When you come to a T-junction with traffic lights, turn left at this junction following signs for City Centre. 3. Follow the road until you come to a round-about and turn right here again, following signs for City Centre. Do NOT go through the Eastlink toll bridge. 4. Follow the road along the side of the river until you’re forced to cross a bridge. Cross the bridge and turn right following the road along the side of the river, continuing in the same direction. 5. Follow the road all the way to the end staying in the left hand lane. 6. At the end of the river you will be bearing left to bring you on to the N4. You will not cross the river again, but will pass Heuston Railway Station. 7. Follow the N4 all the way until you reach junction 7 with the M50 motorway. 8. Turn left onto the M50, going south. 9. At junction 9 of the M50, turn off for the N7, staying in the right hand lane. 10. Turn right onto the N7 and follow for approx. 2 km. You’ll pass over a large crossroads (Newland’s Cross) with the Bewleys Hotel on your right. Continue on for another 3 km. 11. Camac Valley is situated on the opposite side of the road, so you must cross via the first bridge after Newland’s Cross rossroads. 12. The turn for Camac Valley is on your left and sign-posted with a camping sign. Following the camping sign & directions for Corkagh Park will bring you across the N7 via two round-abouts and down on to Boot Road where you will find the campsite clearly sign-posted on your left. |
